The feeling
is the point.

DopeBBQ brings food, live performances, DJs and New York community into one shared experience. The event archive includes a live performance by 50 Cent.

Food, music and the people in the room give DopeBBQ its identity. The photographs offer a closer look at that shared experience.

02 / THE IDEA

Good things happen
when the right people
come together.

The General Public is a culture and live experience agency rooted in New York. We connect brands, talent, athletes and audiences through events, partnerships, programming and marketing.

Co-founder Patrice “Trice LeDon” Laquinte brings more than a decade of experience across live events, venue programming, talent relations, brand partnerships and hospitality. Our work starts with the audience and carries through to the details of delivery.

FOUNDER EXPERIENCE

Patrice Laquinte’s professional background includes cultural programming leadership at Dean Entertainment Group / Schimanski and contract work as Special Project Manager with Priority Records / LLC 4 Records, a UMG-affiliated assignment.

Individual professional experience, distinct from agency client relationships.

05 / HOW WE WORK

From an idea
to “you had to be there.”

01

Find the why.

The audience, the ambition, the feeling. We start with what this experience needs to mean.

02

Shape the moment.

The concept, the collaborators, the plan. We connect the creative direction to a workable scope.

03

Bring it together.

The details, the people, the day itself. We coordinate the moving parts with care and intention.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

What does The General Public do?

We work across event production, talent booking, brand partnerships, sports and NIL partnership strategy, cultural programming and audience development. Projects can focus on one area or bring several together.

Where are you based?

Our roots are in New York. Tell us where your project is happening so we can discuss fit, scope and logistics.

How do we get started?

Send a short brief with your goal, audience or guest count, preferred date, location and budget range. It’s fine if some details are still taking shape.

What happens after I share a brief?

We use your brief to discuss the project’s fit, priorities and scope. Services and deliverables are agreed before work begins.

How far ahead should I get in touch?

Get in touch while your dates and plans are taking shape. The useful lead time depends on the scale, location, talent and production needs.

How are budgets and project terms handled?

Share your budget range so we can discuss priorities and the scope of work. Project-specific costs, including third-party costs, and any confirmation, change or cancellation terms belong in the proposal or agreement. Sending an inquiry does not confirm a booking.

HAVE SOMETHING IN MIND?

Let’s make
some noise.

A new idea. A room to program. A brand with something to say. Tell us what you’re thinking.
